NY Baby Show: Best New Products (May 2016)
/Today I went to the New York Baby Show, the biggest baby show in the country. I met loads of vendors and saw some interesting products. Here is a selection of the most interesting ones that I saw in person for the first time today. This post contains a lot less product details than I typically include. Feel free to click on the images for additional information.

1. BABYBJORN Bouncer Mini
Including this is a bit of a cheat because I got a sneak peak last week at an exclusive Bjorn blogger event, but it is totally new to market. This is a mini version of the Soft Balance Bouncer that I included in my list of registry must haves. This one can only be used up to about eight months while the original can be used until about two years. We used our original daily til a bit past a year, but got the most use out of it before the nine month mark. Like the original it can store flat and the fabric is washable.
2. Bugaboo Bassinet Stand
The Bugaboo Stand transforms your Cameleon³, Buffalo or Donkey into a sleep station. Each model requires a different set of adapters and needs to be purchased separately. I have the Cameleon and love it!
3. Cybex Cloud Q reclining infant car seat
The Cybex Cloud Q is a completely revolutionary car seat it has a full recline for use out of the car (i.e., for when you attach it to your strollerr). I had the Cybex Aton Q for my son and loved it. The brand is renowned for their safety standards. I pretty much used my car seat only in the car because I wasn't comfortable keeping my son in the car seat position for long periods. I would probably have used my car seat a lot more than my stroller bassinet if I had this product.
4. GB Pockit (world's smallest folding stroller)
This stroller folds teeny tiny, it is truly remarkable. This could be a great stroller for a toddler who mainly wants to walk, for plane rides to Grandma's if Grandma has a full sized stroller, or to keep in your emergency evacuation bag. It is made by the same brand that makes the QBit -- which has an amazing one handed fold and which I use daily for day care (see my detailed review of the QBit here). GB is owned by the same parent company as Cybex (see above).
5. Babyzen Yoyo 2016
The Babyzen Yoyo is an awesome lightweight stroller that folds up small enough to fit in an airplane overhead bin (similar in size to the Qbit). Improvements to the 2016 model include a much larger storage basket, improved suspension (and I attest that the push is amazing), better shade, and increased weight limit.
6. Fridababy FeverFrida the iThermonitor
From the brand that brought us NoseFrida: The Snotsucker Nasal Aspirator comes this wireless thermometer. It takes your babies axillary (armpit) temperature continuously and transmits it to your iphone. It sends you alerts and even reminders to give medication through its app. When my son is sick, he sleeps a ton and it would be nice to know if his fever spikes without having to wake or even touch him.
7. Parklon Portable Folding Mat
This padded play mat folds up pretty small into a carry bag. It is reversible, with the solid side being made of an outdoor friendly material, which is perfect for the park, back yard or picnics. Parklon's mats are nicely made. You can see the entire collection here.
I had never seen a Thule jogging stroller, bike trailer or any other Thule item in person before. I was super impressed with the modern and intuitive designs. The bike trailer is a stroller that attached to your bike and when used as a standalone stroller the bike attachment accessory stores neatly at the side of the stroller. I didn't spend much time at this booth but am looking forward to learning more about this brand.
